Most of the time he is a wicked hound, but sometimes redeems himself.Max is a cross between a Bruno de Jura and a Beagle as such he is doubly bred for hunting (although I don't hunt animals, just the odd mushroom)
Anyway we had our first ski tour yesterday up to Lac Benit in Mont Saxonnex and it was cold but clear and we got there just at twilight, around 5pm, just in time to to ski down without a head torch.
Quite a few others had the same idea as I met two of my neighbours on their way back down, a couple of boarders who had hiked up with snow shoes and some super fit bugger going like a train. Which is a shame because I am usually the one doing the train impressions; huffing and puffing, not going fast I might add.
Mont Saxonnex opens next weekend but if you have skins it is already open, we'll ski it several times before then.
