Les Contamines, is a sleepy ski town at the end of the season, although the resort is still open until the 24th it is beginning to slow down. Still has great skiing though as it has stayed cold.
When you're in town and if you need something good and simple for lunch then try the Husky bar and restaurant. Don't be put off by the workers in there it's a good sign. We had the daily special of Roast pork in a rich mushroom sauce with a paté to start and a creme caramel to finish. 13.50€ pp
Not bad and nice views too.
